Mallee Sustainable Farming has announced the appointment of Louise Brok as an Extension Agronomist to add to its team delivering Research, Development, and Extension to Mallee farmers in SA, Victoria, and NSW. Executive Director, David Campbell, said “We are very pleased to add Louise to our team to focus on the translation of our field R&D projects into our Extension program. She comes with degrees in Agricultural Science from the highly regarded Massey University in New Zealand, and experience in field trials in new variety development as well as farmer engagement projects around practice change. She also has on-farm experience in the Victorian Mallee over the past year which gives her a good perspective on the issues that Mallee farmers face. She will be based out of Merrinee in northwest Victoria and cover MSF’s operations across the Mallee regions.”

Louise will commence with Mallee Sustainable Farming on September 1 and will be getting out to a number of the field events running through the Spring to meet with farmer members and hear more about their farming practices. Louise said, “It’s great to be joining the Mallee Sustainable Farming team and getting involved in the work MSF does in the Mallee. I am looking forward to getting out and meeting members in the region.”
