Better Frost Decisions

We can see that harvest is on the horizon but we are not quite there yet. So what could possibly go wrong?

Key objectives

To provide practical tools for assessing frost damage and determining the best recovery approaches.

To enhance understanding of frost risk and management through linking existing frost research and real-world case studies.

To share proven techniques and management practices that reduce the economic impact of frost events.

About the project

The ‘Better Frost Decisions’ project, funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), focuses on providing southern region farmers with the tools and information they need to make informed decisions in response to frost events. Frost is a critical risk in low, medium and high rainfall regions, and this project aims to support farmers in assessing frost damage, determining crop salvage options, and implementing effective frost management strategies.

For detailed resources visit GRDC’s extensive library of frost-related materials to access the latest research and advice.

This project is funded by the GRDC, which is committed to helping farmers overcome environmental challenges and boost long-term profitability.
