Lachlan Sutton joined MSF in December 2020 as Executive Officer and is based in NSW.
Lachlan has extensive experience across wide range of commodities including sheep and wool, cattle, both broadacre and irrigated cropping as well as horticultural production. He has spent his career in a wide variety of roles ranging from commodity marketing to asset management for some of the largest agricultural investors in Australia.
Lachlan is passionate about improving the productivity and profitability of farming enterprises, particularly in the lower rainfall zones. He believes strongly that collaboration in research and adoption across stakeholders is key to achieving true long term sustainability.
Travelling throughout the globe to gain understandings of keep markets in areas like China, Hong Kong and Western Europe, Lachlan thoroughly understands the opportunities and challenges that are a part of the now global agribusiness sector.
Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness (Economics), Master of Agribusiness and is a member of the Agricultural Institute of Australia and is a former director of the Future Farmers Network.
